Junoon Restaurant stands as one of Lahore’s most talked-about premium dining destinations.
It combines authentic Pakistani cuisine, organic Desi Ghee cooking, and immersive heritage-inspired ambiance to create an experience that goes beyond a traditional meal.
Introduction
Junoon Restaurant in Lahore has built its reputation on quality ingredients, cultural storytelling, and dramatic presentation.

The brand positions itself as an experiential dining space where food, architecture, and atmosphere work together to reflect Pakistani heritage in a refined and modern way.
It attracts families, tourists, influencers, and corporate guests who seek a memorable evening rather than just casual dining.
About Junoon Restaurant Buffet Experience
At its core, Junoon offers a premium buffet system that highlights regional Pakistani specialties.

The junoon restaurant buffet includes BBQ varieties, karahi selections, biryani, traditional handi dishes, freshly prepared breads, salads, and classic mithai.
The junoon dinner buffet is especially popular for its live cooking stations and large variety of items, often exceeding 40 to 50 dishes depending on the day and season.
During Ramadan, the junoon restaurant iftar menu becomes a major attraction, featuring dates, pakoras, chaats, BBQ platters, main course curries, desserts, and beverages in an elaborate setup designed for large gatherings.
The restaurant emphasizes cooking in pure organic Desi Ghee, which gives the food a rich and traditional depth of flavor that distinguishes it from oil-based commercial buffets.
About Leadership
Owner: Adeel Chaudhry

The driving force behind Junoon is Adeel Chaudhry, a recognized Pakistani food connoisseur and restaurateur.
He transformed his digital food influence into a physical hospitality brand that reflects his personal standards for taste, presentation, and cultural pride.
Background and Vision
Before entering the restaurant industry, Adeel Chaudhry worked in Dubai’s real estate sector.
His exposure to luxury developments and themed spaces influenced his concept of creating visually dramatic and “theatrical” restaurants where guests feel immersed in an atmosphere rather than simply seated at a table.
He applied that mindset to Junoon by blending architectural heritage, lighting, and plating aesthetics.
Global Recognition
In 2022, he gained international recognition after being featured in Forbes.
This acknowledgment highlighted his contribution to promoting Pakistani cuisine on a global platform and strengthened Junoon’s brand authority.
The feature also reinforced trust among diners who value credibility and leadership in hospitality ventures.
Digital Presence and Branding
Adeel Chaudhry is widely known for his catchphrase #BohatAala, which became part of his brand identity.
His strong social media presence helped Junoon build rapid awareness, particularly among younger audiences and food enthusiasts who follow culinary trends online.
Other Ventures
In addition to Junoon’s Gulberg and Heritage branches, he also operates Bohat Aala.
Each venture reflects his focus on presentation, premium positioning, and storytelling around food.
Owner’s Philosophy
The philosophy behind Junoon centers on authenticity with refinement.
The restaurant prepares every major dish in organic homemade Desi Ghee and traditional copper cookware, ensuring that the cooking process remains rooted in heritage methods.
At the same time, Junoon experiments with presentation techniques inspired by molecular gastronomy to modernize plating and enhance visual appeal.
The objective is clear: celebrate Pakistani culture while delivering a polished and contemporary dining environment.
Restaurant History
Founding and Original Vision (2018–2019)
Junoon’s first branch opened in Gulberg III, Lahore, on December 12, 2018.
The original concept was to bring together flavors from all Pakistani provinces under one premium roof, offering Lahoris access to diverse regional specialties without compromising on authenticity.
From the beginning, the use of Desi Ghee and copper pots served as a strong unique selling point, differentiating Junoon from conventional buffet restaurants.
Expansion to Junoon Heritage (2023–2024)
In late 2023, the brand expanded near the historic Badshahi Mosque in the Walled City of Lahore.
This branch operates inside a restored 300-year-old Mughal-era building, preserving architectural elements while upgrading facilities for modern hospitality standards.
The rooftop provides a panoramic view of the mosque and Minar-e-Pakistan, making it one of the most visually striking dining spots in the city.
The Royal Platter, inspired by Mughal-style serving traditions, became a highlight attraction for group dining and tourists.
Renovation and Rebranding (2025–2026)
In 2025 and early 2026, both branches underwent significant renovations to refresh interiors and upgrade the overall dining layout.
Junoon Heritage reopened with an expanded seating arrangement and revised menu selections under the campaign #JunoonReimagined.
The brand repositioned itself to focus more deeply on emotional storytelling and heritage preservation.
Restaurant Ambience and Seating
Junoon Heritage Branch
The Heritage branch offers a palace-style atmosphere shaped by Mughal-inspired architecture.
Stone textures, traditional arches, and antique elements create an environment that reflects Lahore’s historical identity.
The rooftop view overlooking the Badshahi Mosque provides a memorable backdrop, especially during Asar, Maghrib, and Isha when the Azan echoes across the Walled City.
This branch is ideal for formal dinners, special occasions, Nikkah ceremonies, and guests visiting Lahore for cultural exploration.
Junoon Gulberg Branch
The Gulberg branch presents a more contemporary and energetic vibe.
It features floral décor, Urdu poetry walls, lantern lighting, and a spacious rooftop area that becomes especially cozy in winter with bonfires and candlelight arrangements.
Live Sufi music and Qawwali nights enhance the experience, making it popular among younger crowds and social gatherings.

Junoon Review – Personal Experience
Look, I finally checked out Junoon after seeing it all over my feed, and honestly? It’s a bit of a rollercoaster.
If you’re going for the vibes and the view, you’ll be obsessed. I went to the Heritage branch near the Badshahi Mosque, and man, that rooftop is something else. When the Azan starts playing while you’re sitting in this 300-year-old building looking at the mosque… it’s a total “pinch me” moment. It’s easily the most “Lahori” experience you can get.
Now, let’s talk food:
The Mutton Dum Wala and the Koyla Karahi are legit. You can tell they use proper Desi Ghee because it has that rich, heavy taste that hits the spot. The Chilman Biryani was also a winner. But I’ll be real—the Hi-Tea is a bit of a hit-or-miss. There are like 50+ items, which looks cool for a video, but some of the fusion stuff (like the pasta) felt a bit “meh.” Stick to the BBQ and the traditional mithai; the Gulab Jamuns were warm and perfect.
The “But”:
The service can be absolute chaos. We had a reservation, but still had to wait, and once we sat down, it felt like the staff was constantly running around like headless chickens. If you go on a weekend, prepare for it to be loud and crowded. Also, it’s definitely on the expensive side. You’re paying for the brand and the “Adeel Chaudhry” experience as much as the food.
Go to the Heritage branch for a special date or to impress someone visiting from out of town—the view alone makes it worth it. But if you hate crowds and slow service, maybe skip the Sunday Brunch and go for a weekday dinner instead.
Bohat Aala? Yes Mostly. But definitely bring your patience along with your appetite.
